The Institute for Applied Medical Informatics at the University of Tübingen (acting Director Prof. Dr. Carsten Eickhoff) is looking, by the next possible date, for a highly motivated

Scientific Grant Writer (f/m/d)

in the field of clinical artificial intelligence. This full-time position is limited to 2 years, with possibility for extension. The successful applicant will work closely with the institute director to develop and implement an extramural funding acquisition strategy and translate scientific proposals into grant applications. The position is envisioned to be the first among several hires for a dedicated scientific writing and coordination team with significant potential for career advancement.

Located in south-western Germany, Tübingen is a picturesque university town of about 90,000 inhabitants (nearly one third of whom are students) that combines the flair of a lovingly restored medieval center with the colorful bustle and typical atmosphere of a young and cosmopolitan students' town. The Institute of Applied Medical Informatics focuses on the development of machine learning, natural language processing and information retrieval techniques and their use in the context of clinical and personal health decision support.

  • a completed bachelor or master degree in journalism, scientific writing, or a similar writing-focused field of study,
  • an excellent command of English in both spoken and written word,
